3. Manage Anger Daily: Commitment
Lets be honest, there’s a lot of stuff going on in our lives, some good, some not so good.
Beyond desire the next requirement for change is commitment; one that is consistent, not week on week off. The commitment needs to last so long that the new way becomes the old way. If at first you don’t succeed, never forget that change takes place for someone every day; for drug addicts, for poor students, for people who don’t have job skills, and for people with anger problems. Think of this program as if it were an apprenticeship. After a significant period of learning new skills you will become confident in your ability to Manage Anger Daily.
Be patient, just like anyone learning new skills, change will take time. A consistent commitment will give you regular proof that what you are trying to accomplish is actually happening.
There is an old debate: Believe in order to see, or See in order to believe? It’s both. With this program you must believe in yourself in order to accept the time that it will take for you to see what you believed in.
